Mouna Azirar

Managing Partner, Mouna began her career in the luxury fashion industry in London over 18 years ago. She worked in business development, sales, buying, retail and wholesale in companies such as Burberry. Her natural interest in green beauty started when she was expecting her first child. She made the complete switch to clean beauty products whilst pregnant and then gradually transitioned to practice a more sustainable and holistic way of life which she shares with her husband and two young children. She says, “I’ve always been an avid advocate in living a healthy lifestyle. After my first trip to California a decade ago, I wanted to launch a wellness business. My move to Dubai had inspired me to focus on a better beauty world in the Middle East by creating something pioneering that would educate the region on sustainable beauty and clean living. My aim is to connect green-based products to clean-conscious consumers.”

Since studying organic skincare, Mouna’s hope is to help people see the positive changes that conscious beauty can do for their health, well-being and the environment.

In 2019, Mouna was inspired to launch Hoiisa. Her passion is to help customers understand why ingredients matter. She adds, “I decided to create a unique platform, a one-stop destination of green beauty as I had difficulties finding these products in Dubai, where I lived for several years.”

Mouna says well-being is at the forefront of people’s minds, and doesn’t expect it to go anywhere. She adds, “I believe effectiveness, preventive skin health and overall health will be top of mind for these coming years.”
