“Hoiisa isn’t just about beauty. Building a business that drives social impact was a fundamental component to the concept as well”.
Mouna Azirar, Founder
Honoured to have partnered with charity Education for All (EFA), an “Association” in Morocco that is created for the running of the boarding houses, aiming to meet the learning needs of all children, youth and adults.
As part of our partnership with EFA, Hoiisa will be donating a portion of proceeds to the organisation on a quarterly basis.
Contributions will support the education of young impoverished girls in the country.
EFA was founded in 2007 to respond to the high level of illiteracy (estimated at 80%) amongst girls in the most deprived and remote areas of the High Atlas Mountains in Morocco.
Instead of going to school, girls were staying home, doing domestic chores, marrying young and remaining in the cycle of poverty with limited choices in life.
“Not only is education a basic human right, but it also supports the development of all society. An educated girl impacts her family, community and society at large”.
Education for all, Morocco
“We believe that changing the world starts with educating girls because if you educate a girl, you educate the next generation”.
